About us
BioMar Ltd is a part of the BioMar Group, a multinational manufacturer of fish feeds
with over 40 years of experience. The Group is now supplying over 400,000 tonnes of
fish feed from eight factories. BioMar Group is split into 2 divisions:
Salmon and Other Species. BioMar Ltd is part of the salmon division along with BioMar
Norway and BioMar Chile and work together on R&D, Sales and Marketing.

BioMar Ltd started as a sales organisation in 1989 importing feed from Denmark.
By 1995 sales had increased to such a degree, that a factory was opened in Grangemouth,
between Stirling and Edinburgh, to supply the requirements of the UK and Irish fish feed markets.
The chosen site is unique for UK fish feed factories in that it is located alongside a dock
that allows direct deliveries of raw materials by sea, and direct delivery from factory to
customer barge. Such is the demand for delivery by sea that BioMar Ltd has one ship on permanent
charter to meet our customer’s requirements.
